Paul Janulis has been training in self-defense since he was a boy. He had the benefit of being guided by his grandfather, who was a bare-knuckle fighter, golden gloves champion, judo and karate practitioner, and firearms connoisseur. Paul has trained with several prominent experts, including Kickboxing Champion Kerry Roop, Modern Arnis founder Professor Remy A. Presas, Manong Teodoro (Ted) Buot of Balintawak, boxing professional Kakan Garcia, and wrestling fame's Pat Milkivich. Paul was the youngest instructor under Professor Presas to be awarded a fifth-degree black belt and to serve on the International Modern Arnis Federation testing board. Paul also holds a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and other credentials and training in Burmese Bando, MMA/BJJ, British SAS modern combatives, and U.S. Army Combatives. Paul is proud to say that he has received most of his firearms training from the expert instruction of Live Safe Academy, LLC (Ian Kinder, Louis M. Chiodo of GUNFIGHTERS, Ltd., Sergeant Joseph "Little Joe" Ferrera, and Officer Brian Bastianelli) and the United States Army. Paul has professional experience in asset protection, and has operated as a regional security manager in a private security firm that was on the homeland security tier, serving federal, municipal, and corporate clients. Paul is currently serving the U.S. armed forces with the Army National Guards 425th Infantry Co. F, Special Operations LRS/LRRP. Paul also has extensive business experience, with a BA from Oakland University, and is currently working towards a graduate degree in clinical psychology.
